Welcome to Gothenburg’s Human Rights Center

About Gothenburg’s Human Rights Center (GRC)
Gothenburg’s Human Rights Center – against discrimination is an anti-discrimination agency in Gothenburg and the region of Västra Götaland.  We offer legal counseling and education about human rights and discrimination.

Gothenburg’s Human Rights Center is a nonprofit organization that was formed in 2010. Our objective is to promote human rights and a society characterized by pluralism and respect for people’s differences, free from oppression, predjudice and discrimination. GRC will promote the fair treatment of all people and prevent discrimination based on ethnicity, religion or other beliefs, gender, gender identity or gender expression, sexual orientation, functionality, age. Our work is funded by the Swedish Agency for Youth and Civil Society and by the City of Gothenburg.

About the legal counselling
If you experience that you are discriminated you can get advice from the lawyers at GRC. We answer questions about discrimination law and all grounds of discrimination: ethnicity or race, religion or creed, gender, gender identity or gender expression, sexual orientation, functionality and age.

The counselling is free. We vow of silence and you may even be completely anonymous. If needed, you can book an interpreter.

You can ask us questions via email radgivning@gbgrc.se
You can also send letters to Gothenburg Human Rights Center, Första Långatan 30, 413 27 Gothenburg.

We do not accept visits to our facilities without reservation. We can make appointments by phone, emails and by post.
We can also take phone calls via teleconference (eg Skype). This also needs to be booked.
